Department of Internal Medicine Infectious Diseases Division
The Division of Infectious Diseases, in the Department of Internal Medicine, has twelve full-time and fifteen part-time faculty based at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center (UUHSC), VA Salt Lake City Medical Center Medical Center (VAMC) and LDS Hospital (LDSH). All three hospitals are responsible for primary care, as well as consultative care of patients with particularly difficult problems in the diagnosis, management and therapy of various infectious diseases. Our division conducts research and clinical trials relating to infectious diseases as well. Our division also offers a 2-3 year fellowship program wherein our fellows are provided the opportunity to study this specialty in a great environment, with excellent professors!
