Abstract Summary of Program:
The HRS Satellite Symposium "AF Strategies and Solutions" will bring together cardiologists and experts in all sub-specialties to learn clinical applications of the HRS Consensus Statement, new technologies in atrial fibrillation management, and how to assess acute and long term success in ablation treatment. This symposium is eligible for 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ and is being held in conjunction with the Heart Rhythm Society's 30th Annual Scientific Sessions being held May 13-16, 2009 in Boston.
Learning Objectives:
1. Review and update of the HRS Consensus Statement, how it has changed, and the lack of knowledge regarding the updated Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring Guidelines. 2. Develop a strategy of how to use the Atrial Fibrillation Imaging System(AFIS) to manage atrial fibrillation patients. 3. Assess acute and long term success of ablation treatment for Atrial Fibrillation.
