TITLE: Family Blood Pressure Program  - HyperGEN Network 

The NHLBI Family Blood Pressure Program is made up of four cooperating networks whose overall objective is to localize and characterize genes contributing to variation in blood pressure levels and hypertension status.  

The HyperGEN Network consists of the following sites:

  • University of Utah (Steven C. Hunt, Ph.D.)
  • University of Minnesota (James Pankow, Ph.D.)
  • University of Minnesota (John Eckfeldt, M.D., Ph.D.) 
  • University of North Carolina (Kari North, Ph.D.)
  • Washington University (D.C. Rao, Ph.D.)
  • Wake Forest University (Barry Freedman, M.D.)
  • University of Alabama (Beth Lewis, M.D., M.S.P.H.)
  • Boston University (Richard Myers, Ph.D.)
