The University of Utah Surgical Residency attracts residents from all regions of the country. While the common thread is the desire to receive the highest level of surgical training, our residents also want to remain multidimensional. The training environment in Salt Lake City is conducive to both. Our typical resident has a record of outstanding academic achievement, has done well of the USMLE exams, and thrives in an outdoor environment.
