Educational Experience

The University of Utah Surgery Residency is a 5 year residency program with an option for 1 or more years of research.  Our Mission is to train future leaders in surgery.  This is accomplished by involving the residents in leadership positions on services early in their training. 

Our Program is clinically very strong, with the majority of our residents meeting most of their operative requirements by the end of their third clinical year.  Rotations involve all the major areas in surgery and all rotations are completed in Salt Lake City.
